| Virginia Tingley |
| Ginny Tingley is a Co-Director of our school and an instructor of our Massage Therapy Certification Program. Her involvement in health care spans over 30 years. Ginny earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in French Education from the University of Charleston. After receiving her degree in nursing (R.N.), Ginny held various positions in the medical field for over 20 years. She entered the massage field in 1996, training under Mona Schreck in basic Swedish Massage. Ginny later joined Mona’s team, bringing her academic background to that massage vocational program. Continuing education is a priority for Ginny, and she has studied with some of the masters of the field in such modalities as in such myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, medical in such massage, eastern modalities, prenatal massage, active isolated stretching, Reiki, aromatherapy, structural integration, ethics, applied kinesiology, therapeutic hot stone work and teaching for the adult student. As an active member of the NJ AMTA chapter, Ginny is involved with their sports massage team, and local recruitment to promote chapter involvement. Four years ago, Ginny began her volunteer work promoting alternative modalities with end-of-life care through the hospice Care Alternatives. Ginny has an active medical massage business, and enjoys extensive community involvement with and regular referrals from health care practitioners, including osteopaths, chiropractors, physicians, physical therapists, fitness programs and community health programs. Ginny blends her massage skills, anatomical knowledge, and psychology of the mind and body, to present a comprehensive program for the entry level massage therapist. |
| Charles Carpenter |
| Chuck Carpenter is a Co-Director of our school and the lead instructor of our Structural Integration Certification Program. After studying Political Science at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, he attended the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado, and became a Certified Rolfer® in 1988. He continued his studies there, and achieved his position as a Certified Advanced Rolfer® in 1990. During his time at the Rolf Institute, where his instructors had been trained directly by Dr. Ida P. Rolf, he studied with some of the finest instructors in the bodywork profession, such as: Jan Sultan, Senior Instructor at the Rolf Institute Tom Myers, founder of Kinesis Myofascial Integration, author of Anatomy Trains Emmett Hutchins, founder of the Guild for Structural Integration Jim Asher, founder of the Colorado Cranial Institute Jeffrey Maitland, Senior Instructor at the Rolf Institute, author of Spinal Manipulation Made Simple and Spacious Body: Explorations in Somatic Ontology Over the next several years, as he developed his private practice in New Jersey, he was a part-time Assistant Instructor at the Rolf Institute in Boulder, and traveled to Europe to further his bodywork education. He studied Visceral Manipulation with Jean-Pierre Barral, and Cranial Sacral Therapy at both the Upledger Institute and the Colorado Cranial Institute. As he started a family, he stayed closer to home, enjoying a thriving private practice and various instructional opportunities. He has offices in New Jersey and Manhattan. An active member of the Rolf Institute, and the newly formed International Association of Structural Integrators, Chuck has developed our Structural Integration Training Program dedicated to the teachings of Dr. Ida P. Rolf. His superior style of touch honed over more than 15 years of private practice, and his clear explanations of the anatomical and physiological processes involved in SI provide our students with the opportunity to learn from a true craftsman in the bodywork field. |

| Elizabeth Aerts |
| Elizabeth Aerts is a Co-Director of our school and an Instructor for our Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Certification Program. After receiving a B.S. degree in Computer Information Systems, she attended Rutgers University Graduate School of Management, completing her M.B.A. in 1993. She worked in mortgage banking, the legal field, in laboratory research and as a consultant to small businesses. After experiencing the many benefits of massage and bodywork, she decided to attend massage school in 2002. She is NCBTMB certified, and a Certified Member of ABMP. She is additionally certified in Prenatal Massage and Segment Reflex Massage, and has received advanced education in Structural Integration. She has been studying aromatherapy for several years, and enjoys creating her own essential oil blends for use in massage oils and therapeutic bath salts. Her love of learning and bodywork combined with her managerial skills make her uniquely suited to our school. Her most recent accomplishment was taking Gil Hedley's Intensive Human Dissection Workshop. |
| Richard Tempsick |
| Rich Tempsick is our Instructor of Anatomy and Physiology. He received his B.S. Degree in Biology from Georgian Court College in 1990. He then became certified in Autotransfusion technology, a technique for saving a patient’s blood cells during major surgical procedures, working in operating rooms of several area hospitals. In September of 1991, he attended Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS), conducting research in the Department of Pharmacology. During his time there, Rich co-authored published papers in the Journal of Biochemistry on Nitric Oxide synthase, a brain enzyme. It was during this time that he discovered a love for teaching and decided on a teaching career in Biology. He has been a full time full instructor at the Academy of Allied Health, part of the Monmouth County Vocational School District, since its opening in September of 1993. There he teaches Anatomy & Physiology, Biology and Pathophysiology to students in the 9th through 12th grades. During the summer, Rich teaches Introduction to Molecular Biology to the students in the 7th and 8th grades. He is currently a graduate student at RWJMS in Cell and Developmental Biology. He has been teaching Anatomy and Physiology to massage therapy students for 8 years. Rich’s enthusiasm for his topic, his intellectual expertise, and his ability to convey complex material in a simple manner make him a valued member of our instructional team. |
| Mary Kate Strisik |
| Mary Kate Strisik is our Instructor of Eastern Modalities. She is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and a graduate of the New York College for Wholistic Health Education and Research. Mary Kate has an active massage practice in Staten Island, NY and in Holmdel, NJ. |
